I just got a new laptop recently, and after installing zoom, I realised I couldn't get past the log in page without a "You are unable to connect to Zoom. Please check your network connection and try again" pop up. I then use my old laptop to try and find out if its really the connection issue. Low and behold, Zoom runs perfectly fine. Any ideas on why this happens, and how to solve it? Go to Solution. If you have a Mac - I had this issue for ages and was unable to resolve it.

I finally did a little more looking, and found this StackExchange post that suggested uninstalling Zoom by using their uninstall file instead of putting the Application in the trash. After this, I reinstalled and it successfully worked. View solution in original post.

On behalf of the Zoom Community team, we wanted to thank you all for the helpful contributions made on this topic. Because of the insightful feedback shared here on this community post, we were able to create a new support article that outlines how to troubleshoot the Zoom error on macOS: You are unable to connect to Zoom.

Hope it helps! Any luck? Mine is also stuck at "You are unable to connect to Zoom. Please check your network connection and try again". Did yours ever work? My other MacBook ran Zoom perfectly fine though. Anyone found a solution yet? Zoom still works on my Imac but that is running Catalina so won't be updating that until this issue on my laptop is sorted. I have same issue too! In browser this is working and my phone app too, only mac have problem What is it? Zoom in mac worked early It should be marked officially as "answer" whoever can do that.

Erina maybe? I reported the issue as fixed after signing in with my personal email account. Then, I tried to use SSO to sign in on the desktop client and had some errors associated with that, and when I went back to sign in with my gmail address I again could not connect to Zoom to log in.

So I used the uninstaller again and reinstalled the client - and I will no longer attempt using SSO on the desktop app. Maybe SSO is only meant for using in-browser? I don't know. I'm using SSO and am seeing connection issues on the zoom desktop.

A new meeting is attempted and we see the connection attempts going in a loop. If you have an older PC, sharing screen on Zoom might be difficult. Screen sharing is very CPU intensive — and if your computer or drivers are out of date, screen sharing may be difficult. Some PCs with Nvidia cards have issues with sharing screen.

You can resolve this issue in the Nvidia Control Panel by disabling automatic graphic card switching. Make sure you have the correct graphic card drivers installed, and try opening Zoom again after the update. Sometimes, Zoom updates can cause file issues. Simply uninstalling and reinstalling Zoom should fix this issue. Then launch the client again and see if this has resolved your Zoom connection issue. This is helpful for fixing some network connection issues that can cause your Zoom not connecting issue.

Step 2: Turn off your router and modem and disconnect them from the power source. Is your antivirus program or firewall interrupting your Zoom connection? Then see if this fixes the issue. Perhaps there are issues with your Internet connection to the Zoom servers.

To get around these issues, you can try using a VPN. It is an easy-to-use and fast VPN service. And its fast speed servers at multiple locations offer you a comfortable and reliable VPN experience. And this happened both in situations where the connections were good and when one of them went bad.

So how does Speedify achieve that? Well, it uses a technology called channel bonding. Speedify also routes data when something happens to one of your connections. When you stumble upon a bad Wi-Fi hotspot , or your connection suddenly goes out, you will stay connected. Speedify intelligently and automatically reroutes your data through the other available connection s until you are connected again to both networks.

The beauty of it is that Speedify does more than just manage your Internet connections. It is also a fast bonding VPN. It encrypts all of the data you send and receive from your device. This helps keep your private information and conversations secure from digital eavesdroppers and cyber thieves. Zoom not connecting?
